    Gitaarlessen Dries Vanden Borre

I’m part of Gitaarlessen Dries Vanden Borre in Lievegem (near Ghent), where we help people learn guitar in a way that feels personal, practical, and motivating 🎸. Our lessons are built around your musical taste, your tempo, and your current level—so you don’t have to squeeze yourself into a one-size-fits-all method.

Whether you’re picking up an instrument for the first time or you’re ready to sharpen technique and musicality, we focus on fast, visible progress without pressure. We use song-based learning (especially pop and rock), clear practice strategies, and hands-on coaching so you can start playing the music you love as soon as possible. With an active presence across website and social channels, we combine real-life lessons with modern learning support to keep your momentum strong ✨.

I started as a complete beginner and was surprised how quickly I could play real songs. Dries explains things clearly, adapts the pace to what you can handle, and keeps lessons practical. The practice tips made a huge difference, and I actually look forward to picking up the guitar each week.

    About me

I’m Dries Vanden Borre, a guitar teacher and guitar coach based in Lievegem, near Ghent, Belgium 🎸. I run Gitaarlessen Dries Vanden Borre, where I help students learn electric guitar, acoustic guitar, and ukulele through lessons that are fully adapted to who they are: their musical taste, their current level, and the speed at which they learn comfortably. My teaching is very hands-on and result-oriented—less theory for theory’s sake, and more guidance that helps you actually play, hear progress, and enjoy the instrument.

I work with beginners who want a stress-free start as well as players who already know the basics but feel “stuck” and want clearer direction. I teach one-on-one and in small groups, because different students thrive in different settings. My approach leans on practical, song-based learning—especially pop and rock—so you can build technique and confidence while working on music you genuinely want to play. I also share lessons and tutorials online via platforms like YouTube and social media, so students can stay inspired and keep momentum between sessions ✨.

When I’m not teaching, I love taking it easy around the Ghent area—good coffee, a walk, and maybe a live music spot if the city is buzzing.
